Christmas is time of joy, happiness and sharing.  The celebrations of Christmas are dealt with the spirit of thanking Almighty God for the blessing of Jesus Christ who takes our sins away.

It is understood that we give presents to our loved ones and the ones we care for in the spirit of joy and celebrating arrival of the Lord Jesus among us, but we need to think what are we offering to the one who’s birthday we are celebrating.  It’s not unusual for many in this world to share presents with each other at this time of the year, even if they don’t know or believe in Jesus. So, what is the real celebration of Christmas? Is it just the exchange of fancy gifts and dinner parties? This may be how we like to look at it but in reality, the spirit of Christmas is the spirit of joy, happiness and giving. God gave His only begotten son for us, for the world. What are we giving back?

Sharing presents and joy among each other is good but think of something that you ought to give to the Lord Jesus this Christmas? He doesn’t want fancy  presents but the purity of hearts. If you have still not given a present to Him, perhaps it isnt too late yet.
